Alright, sit down and shut up because I’m about to type something unnecessarily long.

Contramonster I’m going to tell you something I’ve told you many times before but I’m going to KEEP telling you until it is drilled into your brain to the point where you’ll eventually be able to quote me on this word for word before I even open my mouth to say it.

You and your comic are half the reason I am doing what I do today. I literally, without a doubt, would not be the same person I am- the same ARTIST I am if it wasn’t for meeting you and hearing your story.

Now listen here because I’m not going to speak as your friend anymore. I’m speaking right now as a fellow comic artist and student having gone (and going) through actual sequential art writing/discussion classes at a renowned art school. So don’t you dare take me lightly when I say to you that your story in Backlash is one of the greatest stories I have heard in my entire life. I’ve had the privilege of being one of your close friends and the honor of you telling me some of the plot and what happens later on in your comic and I am going to be a huge doucher for a second and gloat about this fact to tell everyone in the audience that they literally have NO IDEA how cool this thing is going to get. *Turns to audience* You think Backlash is already cool right now?!?? ahHAHAAHAHHAHAHA just wait~

The amount of in-depth world building and time you’ve put into this story and this universe is absolutely beyond mind boggling to me. I literally sit and think (ALMOST ON A DAILY BASIS), “holy shit I can’t believe Amber MADE all of this!! SHE DID THIS! SHE’S DOING THIS!! HOW IS SHE DOING THIS!?? WHERE DOES SHE THINK OF THESE THINGS OH MY GOD- THIS IS SO FRIGGIN COOL.” I cannot even begin to tell you how blown away I am by the Backlash world and the thought and passion that is going into creating this thing.

You are such a strong comic artist and storyteller. I strive in everything I do and write to be as great as you someday. I made this cheesy fake anime screenshot because I remember reading this page of your comic and getting chills sent down my spine. This is isn’t just my favorite moment in your comic. This is my favorite moment in any comic ever of all time. I’m literally having to sit here and Google bigger, stronger words, to use to describe how impressive and awe-inspiring what you have made is.
